Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
For the past few days, we have been drawing a comparison between the Bible and the Qur’an in an effort to discern the truth.
To understand Islam, one must understand the history of Islam. The founder of the Islamic faith was a man named Mohammed who claimed to have been visited by the Angel Gabriel in the year A.D. 610 and given a revelation. From this visitation, he formed the religion of Islam.
The Holy Spirit of God warns us of this in Paul’s letter to the Galatians. Paul wastes no time and gets right to this point in the very first Chapter. Immediately following his usual introduction, he writes: I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the Grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the Gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
Mohammed claimed to be visited by an angel from heaven, but an Angel from Heaven would NEVER contradict anything in the Word of God. All Prophetic words of God are in full compliance with the Bible and will bring confirmation to His Word.
Any other such words are not from God but from the enemy and are used to kill, steal, and destroy the One True Gospel of Christ. All these would fall into the category of “another gospel” that the Apostle Paul strictly warns us about.
The Holy Bible is the Word of God. It is God speaking to us in writing. Every Word is True. Every Prophesy in the Bible has either already come to pass or WILL come to pass. That, we can be assured of. Every word in the Qur’an, or any other set of writings, that is not in full compliance with the Word of God is another gospel and should be dismissed as such, rebuked, and disregarded.
God gave us His Word to be our standard for living. It was the standard by which our Founding Fathers framed our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence. Although some of them were not born-again Christians, they believed the Word of God to be the most excellent way to live one’s life and design a culture by which people could live in freedom.
Jesus said, Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)
It is impossible to seek the Kingdom of God and another gospel at the same time. There is ONE TRUE GOSPEL OF CHRIST. It is the ONLY Gospel worth seeking. Seek it FIRST and with all your heart, and you will see God move on your behalf in miraculous ways.
The Gospel of Christ will……..turn the tide
