1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful, but not all things are beneficial or advantageous. All things are lawful, but not all things are constructive and edifying.
There is so much we could say on the subject of witchcraft, but before moving on, I want to bring to the surface one very important aspect of this sin that has literally millions of people bound, and they don’t even realize it.
The subject word today is the Greek word PHARMAKEIA. This is the word that we get our words PHARMACY and PHARMACEUTICAL from.
Please carefully read the following four definitions of the Greek word PHARMAKEIA:
1. The use or administration of drugs
2. Poisoning
3. Sorcery, magical arts, witchcraft, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it
4. The deceptions and seductions of idolatry
Now that you have read the definitions of Pharmakeia, please consider the power of pharmaceutical drugs over the general population in America today. The statistics are phenomenal, my friends! 70% of Americans use one or more pharmaceutical drugs every day. A minimum of 50 Americans die every day due to their use of pharmaceutical drugs.
This industry is nothing more than big business in America. The spirit of greed has driven this industry straight to the top of the stock exchange, and most Americans have taken the bait. We even put our children on drugs and tell them they cannot function without them. Then we wonder why they take illegal drugs when they get older.
Drugs are drugs, and they all fall into the same category: PHARMAKEIA: Poison, witchcraft. Anything that is addictive and mind-altering is poison to the human body and falls into the category of sinful witchcraft.
Just because something is legal does not make it beneficial or Righteous in the Eyes of God. All things are lawful, but not all things are beneficial or advantageous. All things are lawful, but not all things are constructive and edifying. (1 Corinthians 10:23) Let the Word of God be the Standard by which you live your life.
When you read this, PLEASE! ! ! Don’t stop taking all your pills at once. Your body has probably become dependent on them, and stopping cold turkey can kill you. However, you can wean yourself off them and seek the Healing Power of God to rule and reign over your physical body. Seek the Holy Spirit for guidance.
Just as a side note, I don’t recall reading anywhere in the Bible where Jesus ever wrote anyone a prescription for a drug. To trust in the power of drugs is to not trust in the Power of God.
The first day we discussed witchcraft, we determined that there are only two sources of power: God and Satan. The definition of witchcraft is: To trust in a power other than God.
There is no greater Power on earth than the Power of God. Place your faith and trust in Him. This is a Benefit in our Believers Benefit Package that will absolutely totally change your life if you will place your full faith in its source: Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. He gave His Life that you may live an abundant life, which includes good health.
Lay aside all witchcraft. Trust in God. He will..........turn the tide ..........in your life.
