Psalm 29:10-11 The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood, and the Lord sits as King forever. The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.
In the 29th Psalm, David speaks of the Power of the Voice of the Lord. When God speaks, the atmosphere changes. God created the entire universe and everything in it by merely speaking it into existence.
The Voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of Glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters. The Voice of the Lord is powerful; The Voice of the Lord is full of Majesty.
The Voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. The Voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire.
The Voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; The Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh. The Voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth, And strips the forests bare; And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”
There is nothing more Powerful than the Voice of the Lord. The final two verses of this Psalm say it all: The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood, and the Lord sits as King forever. The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.
The Lord God sits on the Throne in total control of His Universe. That includes all people, the weather, every star in the sky, the waters of the oceans, and everything above ground and below. The Lord God was sitting on the Throne at the time of the Great Flood, and He is still sitting there today.
He hand-picked every King to rule over Israel and all the other nations of the world. It is He who causes the earth to shake from within, the winds to blow, and the rain to fall. Just as He forms each individual snowflake, making no two alike, He creates every human life; no two alike. Even identical twins are different in many ways. No two people have the exact same DNA.
Consider the billions of people who have lived on earth since the time of Adam and Eve, and yet, there have never been two exactly alike. Please take a moment to ponder that point, and you will begin to understand just how Powerful and Magnificent God is.
He sat on the Throne and watched as His Only Begotten Son was crucified on the Cross of Calvary, and it was He who caused Jesus to be raised from the dead on the Third Day. God sent His Son to do this for you and me so we could be redeemed from all our sin, set free, and spend eternity in Heaven with Him. What an awesome and powerful God we serve!
In a few short weeks, we will be celebrating the Birth of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Born of a hand-picked Virgin girl named Mary and raised by a hand-picked man named Joseph. Perfect in every way, Jesus was 100% God and 100% human at the same time. Only God could create such a person, and He did it out of His Love for you, me, and all the world.
Knowing this, I will leave you with a single question: How can we set aside the Birth of Jesus, our Savior and Lord, to celebrate Santa Claus or Frosty the Snowman? God gives human beings free will to make choices. Whom do you choose?
God is on the Throne. He will..........turn the tide
I choose to celebrate Jesus! Doreen
