Habakkuk 3:19 The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds' feet, and He will make me to walk upon my high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
Habakkuk received a horrific Vision from the Lord that made Him tremble inside to the point of causing his bones to ache and wishing he would die before it all came to pass. It was like a terrible nightmare, but in the midst of tremendous fear, the Lord caused Habakkuk to remember in whom he finds his strength.
After being scared to death, Habakkuk emerged with a song of praise! God is so good! Habakkuk knew that when he placed his faith in the Lord God, He could catapult him from the deepest pit to the top of the highest mountain!
The Body of Christ is in the pit today. The enemy is attacking us from all sides. Even our own people are attacking us from inside the walls of the Church. Many are fearful as the enemy is relentless. They are seeking help from every source except the Word of God, which is the ONLY source of real help. The answer to every life problem and situation can be found in the Word of God, but so many Christians today are seeking help through humanistic psychologists and counselors who are of no real help at all.
It reminds me of the person who is trying to fix a broken appliance. They have the owner's manual on the shelf right next to them, but instead of reading it, they spend hours trying to take everything apart and fix it on their own. They cannot do it! Today, these manuals can be found on the internet. It's called "troubleshooting," and yet many refuse to even try. They are stubborn and prideful and will continue to fail.
The Word of God is our Owner's Manual. It has all the answers. All Scripture is given by the Inspiration of God, and is profitable for Doctrine, for correction, for instruction in Righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
It's time for the Church to wise up and stop being stubborn and prideful and return to the Truth of the Word of God and do the needed troubleshooting. Actually, it's past time; WAY past time. God's Word can catapult us out of the pit! He has the Power to do this if we will go to the Source and have enough faith to believe He is able.
He can turn our song of fear and lament into a song of praise! Remember Habakkuk, who, when all was lost and there seemed to be no provision, said, Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will joy in the God of my Salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds' feet, and He will make me to walk upon my high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
When God's people give Him praise in the midst of the storm, He will..........turn the tide
Praising Him! Doreen
