Matthew 11:28  Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

 

There is much talk in the news today about trade agreements. America enters into foreign trade agreements with other countries. Sometimes it works out well; sometimes not. The problem is that often times the other country doesn’t live up to their end of the agreement. They don’t do what they agreed to do.

 

A trade agreement is a contract between two parties, but the agreement is only as good as the integrity of those entering into the contract. When trade agreements fail, it is because one side lied or failed to perform.

 

We find this every day in business, politics, and virtually all dealings with people. Sometimes it is intentional, and other times it’s not, but either way, people fail to keep their commitments. However, God does not operate this way. He never lies or breaks a promise or commitment. NEVER! We can trust Him implicitly. Without fail, He will perform. He will do what He says He will do.

 

His Word is full of Spiritual Trade Agreements, and He will fulfill every single one. He is never early or late. His timing is perfect. Everything He does is done precisely on time. As the old song goes, “He’s an on time God, yes He is!”

 

Little children easily trust God because they have not lived long enough to be cheated by people. As they grow up and learn that people are not dependable, their trust in God begins to waver as well. But God is NOT a human being. He is God. He can do any and all things, and He absolutely WILL do what He says He will do. We may not always be able to count on the people around us, but we can count on God 100% of the time. God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? (Numbers 23:19)  

 

Every Promise and Commitment made by God, He will keep. Every Word of Prophecy in the Word of God either has been or will be fulfilled. These are facts we can be assured of. It all comes down to our faith. We must have faith to believe God is who He says He is, and will do what He says He will do.

 

To know that perfect Peace that passes understanding is to live every minute of every day in faith, knowing who God is, what He has promised, and believing He will do what He says He will do. This is to abide in Christ; to live IN Him and He in you.

 

If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. (John 15:7) This is a Covenant Promise of God made by Jesus. He WILL keep His end of the trade agreement. Will you?

 

Only God can……..turn the tide
