Redeemed By The Blood Of The Lamb

Mark 1:14-15 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the Gospel.”

The Gospel of Christ is so simple and yet so many people find it difficult to understand and apply to their own life. Many people don’t believe they need Jesus. They think they are doing just fine on their own. They are wrong; dead wrong.

The problem with all people is sin. Everything was great until sin entered into the equation. Unforgiven sin results in death. The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) Our Heavenly Father knows we are all sinners. He wants everyone to be Redeemed so they won’t have to live tormented lives here on earth and spend all of eternity in Hell.

He loved the people so much that He had to do something. He required a blood sacrifice in payment for sin. He established the Sacrificial System we read about in the Old Testament. This was the Old Covenant (agreement) with God the Father. His people had to bring Sacrificial animals to be Sacrificed every day to cover their sins. They had faith in the Sacrificial System and they also had faith in the Messiah to come as Prophesied by the Prophets.

When the time was right, God sent His Son, Jesus, to be the final Blood Sacrifice for all sin. Jesus was the Messiah! For centuries God’s people brought millions of lambs to the Temple to be Sacrificed. Then, everything was about to change! A New Covenant between ALL people and God the Father would take effect when Jesus went to the Cross.

The fact that Jesus was born was not enough. His sin-free life wasn’t either. All the Miracles He performed could not bring Redemption to anyone. All of that happened to prove that He was the Son of God; the Messiah. Jesus had to go to the Cross and be Crucified for the New Covenant to go into effect.

Jesus did what His Father sent Him to do. He did it because He loves us. He loves you and He loves me. He loves all people and He died for everyone. Faith in what He did is what brings about Redemption and Salvation. This is why the first song we learn as little children is “JESUS LOVES ME.”

Jesus does love you. He suffered and died for you. Do you believe it? Do you believe that Jesus went to the Cross for you? If you do, you are Redeemed in the Eyes of your Heavenly Father. If not, today is the day of Salvation. Hear the Word of the Lord today. “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the Gospel.” (John 1:15)

Jesus went to the Cross to……….turn the tide……….in your life.
