Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the Fathers, a Prophet shall the Lord Your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall you hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

Peter tied everything about Jesus back to the Scriptures because the Jews believed what was written there. In Deuteronomy 18:15 we read where Moses said, The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear.

Peter knew the Jews were familiar with the Scriptures. They were living out the fulfillment of Prophecy but they didn’t realize it. For generations, they read the Scriptures in the Synagogue with the expectation of the Messiah to come.

The Messiah had actually walked in their midst and they missed it completely. In fact, they put Him to death because He didn’t fit their agenda. He didn’t say what they wanted Him to say and He didn’t submit to their authority.

Is this what is happening in the Church today? When Jesus Ascended into Heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to be with His people. Many Christians and entire denominations do not recognize or welcome the Holy Spirit into their midst.

Just as the Jews rejected Jesus, much of the Church today rejects the Holy Spirit of God. This is a travesty to say the least. The Holy Spirit will not operate by the rules of any denomination or group of Church Elders or Deacons. He is God and He will operate as God how and where He desires.

However, the Holy Spirit is a gentleman. He will not go where He is not wanted. He will not force Himself upon anyone. The Holy Spirit is the Power of God to perform Miracles, Signs, and Wonders. Jesus made this perfectly clear to His followers. But you shall receive Power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

I pray you attend a church where He is welcome to Minister to the people however He chooses. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17) Seek that.

The Power of the Holy Spirit will…...….turn the tide

In the Spirit,       Doreen
