Repentance And Salvation
December 22, 2022, 3:00 AM

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

The Call of the Lord to man has always been to repent. Since it is sin that keeps us separated from God and it is communion with God that is the desire in the heart of everyone, Repentance is the only answer.

Repentance is the way to Jesus and Jesus is the Way to the Father in Heaven. I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me. (John 14:6) As we discussed yesterday, sin is man’s problem. It has been since Adam fell in the Garden of Eden. Jesus is the remedy for man’s problem. A spiritually lost person is said to be sin-sick; dying and headed for an eternity in Hell. Jesus is the remedy; the balm for the sores; the medicine for the sickness; the healing for the pain.

The Promise of God is that of Forgiveness for those who repent. God wants to forgive us but He also is a Man of His Word. He keeps His Promises. God does not change. He has always been full of Mercy and Forgiveness for those who earnestly seek Him. This earnest seeking of God will result in Repentance which will result in Salvation. There is no other way.

God spoke to Solomon and said, If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14) This is a mighty and powerful Promise of God to His people. It is His call to Repentance and His Promise of Salvation for those who comply.

God requires compliance on our part if we are to receive all that He has for us. We can not do things our way and expect Him to reward us with His Way. It doesn’t work that way. When we truly repent and turn from our wicked ways, He WILL respond in favor.

Some think this is not fair. It doesn’t matter what they think. The only thing that matters is what God says in His Word. Stop listening to the false word of man and seek the Word of God for yourself. Read the Holy Word of God for yourself and come to your own conclusions. When you do, you will come to Repentance and Salvation. There is no better place to be!

The Holy Word of God will……….turn the tide……….in this world.
