Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.
Throughout the entire Word of God, His call on people is to repent. In Old Testament times, the people came to the Temple in repentance of their sins. They brought their sacrifices unto the Lord, and they believed in the Power of God’s Forgiveness due to their sacrifice. Their faith was in the sacrifice.
When Jesus went to the Cross of Calvary and shed His Blood for the sins of the world, this act became the final Sacrifice ever needed for mankind to be forgiven and set free from sin. However, a person must first understand, believe, and accept what Jesus personally did for them. Their faith must again be in the Sacrifice. Not the sacrifice of animals but in the Perfect Shed Blood of God’s Own Son, the Lamb of God.
This understanding will cause a person to repent of their sins because deep down inside we all know how sinful we really are.
What is remarkable to me is that God’s Word is not only for individuals but also for groups of people. Whether it be a family, fellowship of believers, community, or entire nation, God’s Will is for people to understand the Power of Forgiveness through belief and faith in the Sacrifice: Jesus Christ. This is the Message of the Cross. This is the ONLY Way to Salvation and God. There is no other way.
The call on every person is to repent and believe in the Lamb of God; Jesus Christ. This is also the call on entire nations. God has blessed America because, as a nation, we have believed in the Message of the Cross. God does not want to lift His Hand of Blessing from America, but He will if we continue down the same path of self-destruction we are on.
It’s time for the people of America to repent and once again place their faith in the Holy Sacrifice of God; Jesus Christ. It’s time to turn back to Him. He is our only Hope.
Oh God! Please……...turn the tide ........in America
