Satan Never Stops

Habakkuk 3:16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he come up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.

After receiving the entire Vision, Habakkuk trembled within himself. His lips quivered, and he felt as if his bones were rotting within his body. In short, he was scared to death. He hoped and prayed he wouldn't live long enough to see it all come to pass.

Many Christians are praying this very same thing today. They see the writing on the wall. They know times are about to get VERY tough. They watch as the enemy circles and closes in. I have heard many Christians say that they hope they die before it gets really bad.

Others believe the Rapture of the Church will occur prior to the situation becoming unbearable. Actually, most Christians are praying for the Lord to come quickly and save us all from the coming storm. No one wants to go through what we see coming.

As we see the Prophecies of the Word of God continually fulfilled, most Christians believe we are living in the last of the Last Days. I am included in that group, but what if we are not? How are we responding in the face of our enemies? We are most definitely under attack. Satan never stops attacking; we know that.

We must understand and address this attack like every other attack of Satan. It is a spiritual battle, and we must respond spiritually. Although we learn a lot from reading and studying the Old Testament, we are living in New Testament times under the New Covenant of God. It is there we will find God's instructions for us.

Finally, by Brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His Might. Put on the whole Armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:10-12)

The Apostle Paul went on to say, Wherefore take unto you the whole Armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with Truth, and having on the Breastplate of Righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the Shield of Faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the Helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with perseverance and supplication for all the Saints;  (Ephesians 6:13-18)

As a born-again Christian, how are you responding to the battle that is raging all around us? I will leave you with that question.

When the time is right, God will…........turn the tide

Until then, we STAND!        Doreen
