John 17:17 Sanctify them in the Truth; Your Word is Truth.
The Believer's Benefit of Truth is only found at the Cross of Christ. The world today is so filled with falsehood that we can’t believe anything we hear. Even the news is fake! Reporters and journalists are biased in their reporting and put their own spin on everything. Courtrooms are full of witnesses who lie and judges who are far from honorable. Classroom teachers refuse to teach the truth about history and science, and even the subject of mathematics has been reduced to a falsehood. Salespeople will tell you anything you need to hear to sell you their product. Even preachers are lying from the pulpits. In short, truth is a difficult thing to come by today.
The spirit of deception has so infiltrated our society that we can’t believe anything we read or hear anywhere. Even photographs are fake these days. This is very sad, but we do have one source of Truth, and it is God and His Word. The Gospel of Christ is True. Every Word in the Bible is True (IF you are reading a Word-for-Word translation and not a paraphrase version)
If you are sick and tired of hearing lies, reading lies, and watching lies, turn around and go straight back to the Cross in the center of the Pasture of Plenty. There, and only there, you will find Truth.
In the 17th Chapter of John, we read Jesus’ Prayer. Here, He declared the Word of God to be Truth. Sanctify them in the Truth; Your Word is Truth. In John 14:6, Jesus declared Himself to be the Truth. I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.
In Matthew 6:33, Jesus said, Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. Righteousness is Truth; that which is Right in God’s Eyes. Let us seek the Truth and nothing but the Truth, and if that means rejecting everything except the Word of God, then that’s what it means.
The Truth shall set you free and...........turn the tide............in your life.
