Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

 

In America today, there seems to be a disconnect between right and wrong.  Our government and judicial system are making decisions on fundamental issues that make no sense to the average American citizen.  What has happened to common sense?

 

Family conversations around the dinner table consist of people who simply can’t understand why or how these people can come to these conclusions and decisions. In short, we are baffled by what we see and hear in the news. How can our society be so up-side-down?

 

The people making these decisions are highly educated, but they have no wisdom. Wisdom is defined in the Word of God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10) 

 

Wisdom is absent because there is no fear or respect for the Lord. If you are asking yourself, what has happened in America, this is the answer. There is no longer any respect for the Lord God Almighty and His Word. The Word of God is nowhere to be found, and we wonder why people act the way they do.

 

God created human beings. He gave us life, and He also gave us a Manual to live by. Every question in life is answered in the Word of God. There is not a situation, problem, or court case that the Bible does not explain and provide the resolution. The problem in America is we are no longer looking to the Word of God to solve our problems or determine how to resolve issues and move forward.

 

When we look at the issues put forth on the political platforms today, it’s quite simple to conclude that many of the people writing these statements have no knowledge of the Bible or fear and respect of the Lord. There is no wisdom in them. The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of wisdom. (Proverbs 10:21) 

 

I conclude that the problem in America today is the lack of Wisdom. Most Americans have no knowledge of God’s Word and do not fear or respect the Power of God. Therefore, they have no respect for the laws of our land and little to no sense of right and wrong. 

 

Take heart, my friends, because one day they will pay dearly for their decisions.  But they will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. (1 Peter 4:5) The Apostle Paul said it like this: Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the Name which is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Eventually, this WILL happen. In the meantime, let us fear the Lord and seek Wisdom for ourselves and our children.

 

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. The Wisdom of God awaits anyone who asks. It’s time in America to seek the Wisdom of God.

 

The Wisdom of God and fear of the Lord will……..turn the tide
