Sexual Immorality

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee from sexual immorality.

In the 21st Chapter of Revelation, Jesus said, But the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Revelation 21:7-8)

This is a list of characteristics that will cause a person to spend eternity in the Lake of Fire. The Word of God has a lot to say about sexual immorality. This is an abomination to God and we find it written about throughout the Bible.

As New Covenant believers, we look to the New Testament for documentation on this subject. Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the Kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1 Corinthians 6:18-20)

Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. (Hebrews 13:4)

Knowing this: That the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine. (1 Timothy 1:9-10)

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. (Colossians 3:5-6)

For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God. (Ephesians 5:5)

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissension, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)

Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell. (1 Corinthians 10:8)

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. (Romans 1:26-27)

We are without excuse. God has written much on this subject. The simple fact is, that sexual immorality is not acceptable to God. It never has been and it never will be. It doesn’t matter what people say. The enemy is a liar. God’s Word is the Truth. Sexual immorality is due to the attack of the enemy but we, as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, have been given the authority to put this demon under our feet and crush his head.

If you suffer from this, today is the day of repentance. God will forgive you of your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) Don’t wait another day because tomorrow may be too late. Jesus is coming back for His Bride; the Church. If you are living a sexually immoral life, you will be left behind. If you die today, you will not inherit the Kingdom of God. There are no second chances after death.

Repent, God wants to….….turn the tide ……….in your life.
