2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
If Christians could get a handle on this Passage of Scripture, the Body of Christ would take on a whole new look and be so powerful that nothing could stand in its way.
God created us spirit, soul, and body; our spirit being the most important part. It is through our spirit that we communicate with other spirits. God is Spirit. He is the Holy Spirit who desires to communicate with people. The Word of God tells us that the Holy Spirit is our Teacher, Counselor, and Guide. God’s Spirit will teach, counse,l and guide our spirit if we want Him to. All we have to do is ask.
Jesus promised, Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Although God absolutely can, and does, operate in our lives in the natural, He desires to communicate with us Spirit to spirit. It is through this Divine Communication that we will be changed. The day you were saved, the Holy Spirit drew you close to Himself and spoke to you, Spirit to spirit. You probably did not hear the audible Voice of God, but deep down inside, you knew He was speaking to you. That was an awesome time in your life, and you can live in that moment on a continuous basis if you want to.
The Apostle Paul said, Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Connecting with God, Spirit to spirit, is the only way to accomplish this. He is our lifeline to the Heavenly Father. When we WILLINGLY give our spirit over to the Holy Spirit in total humility, knowing we cannot do anything on our own, then we can live a Spirit-filled life; the abundant life Jesus gave His Life for us to have. He said, I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
Your spirit is from God. You were created in His image. Link your spirit to His and allow Him to teach, counsel, and guide every step you take and word you speak. This is total submission to the Heavenly Father. It is the act of surrendering your spirit to the Holy Spirit of God, being united with Him as one.
By this act of submission, you will begin to see life through “spiritual eyes,” and everything will appear quite different. The Peace that passes understanding will rest upon you, and you will feel the Presence of God on a continual basis. In that spiritual place, you can have victory over Satan and be able to pull down the strongholds that have held you captive for so long. You can cast down any impure imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
Nothing in the natural world can compare to living a Spirit-filled life linked to God, Spirit to spirit.
The Holy Spirit of God can…..…..turn the tide
Spirit to spirit, Doreen
