Daniel 8:23-24 And in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.

 

In this portion of Daniel’s Vision, he describes the Antichrist who will be a person totally possessed by Satan. He will be extremely powerful and cunning, convincing Israel and the world that he is the man who will bring peace to the entire world, when in fact his goal is to destroy it all. The Scripture tells us he is possessed and not operating on his own or under his own power, but the power of Satan. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power;

 

Contrary to the belief of some, Satan can totally possess people. Although this Passage refers to the Antichrist who will come during the Great Tribulation, my point is that Satan is powerful and his evil, demonic spirits can do great harm through the lives of people. The Antichrist will be an individual person, but the spirit of antichrist is operating in millions of people in the world today. Any person who is contrary to Christ is under the influence of the spirit of antichrist; they are anti(or against) Christ.

 

Take a moment to consider how many people in the world today profess to be against Christ. Some will argue that they are not “against Christ” they just don’t believe He is who the Bible says He is. To reject Christ in any way is to be against Him. Every person on earth is either for Christ or against Him and this position will determine the eternal destiny of that individual. It will also play an enormous part in the degree of inner peace they have in their natural life.

 

Every person was created by God to worship Him and believe in His Son, Jesus Christ. This is the Will of God. Faith in Jesus is God’s Plan for Redemption of Sin, Eternal Life in Heaven and living a Spirit filled life here on Earth. These are the benefits of being a Believer in Christ and trusting Him as Lord and Savior. Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our Salvation!(Psalm 68:19)

 

To reject Christ is to reject everything of God and remain spiritually lost, dying, and headed for eternity in Hell. To accept Christ is to be a recipient of countless Benefits the Word of God tells us about. There is nothing to lose and everything to gain, but Satan, through the spirit of antichrist, will do everything in his power to keep people from believing.

 

The spirit of antichrist is the single most powerful and destructive spirit in Satan’s arsenal. We must begin to see things in the Spirit and respond in the Spirit. When we recognize the spirit of antichrist in our midst it is not only our right, but our responsibility to rebuke it in the Name of Jesus and cast it out.

 

This spiritual cleansing begins in each of us individually and extends to our household, family, all our personal space, community, schools, business, and our entire nation. God, who made the world and, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. (Acts 17:24) God dwells in the spirit of man. He dwells in your spirit. The Spirit of God is far more powerful than anything Satan can attack us with but we must be aware of the Power we have been given.

 

The spirit of antichrist must be stopped in America and it’s up to the Christian community to do it. If you are a Christian, you have the responsibility to do this wherever you live and travel. We must reclaim America for Christ and we must not delay any longer. Now is the time!
