Psalm 35 is a Prophesy. It speaks of what happened to Jesus when He walked this earth AND of the never-ending attack against the Spirit of Jesus Christ. We are living in the midst of this attack today. The question before America today is this: Do we understand the source of the attack we face?
Remember, the Founding Fathers (under the spiritual guidance of Rev. Duche of Christ’s Church) spent three hours studying this Psalm and praying. Rev. Duche understood the battle they faced at that time in America.
As we look at this Psalm, let us pray and study it verse by verse as our Founding Fathers did in 1774. They sought Divine clarity of direction and America must do the same today in the face of the enemy. Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with Me: fight against them that fight against Me. The spirit of the antichrist HATES the Spirit of Christ. It is a battle that began the day Jesus was born and continues to this day. As the Spirit of Christ wells up within the believer, we can pray this Psalm on behalf of the Spirit of Christ within us personally. Without the Spirit of Christ, we are nothing. It is for Him we must stand and seek the help of God the Father. God will forever stand with His Son and the Son’s Spirit that lives within the heart of every believer.
It is becoming apparent to me (and hopefully to you) that EVERY battle we face and fight is between two spirits: The Spirit of Christ and the spirit of the anti-christ. Both have huge armies of spiritual beings that all have names, but they all “work for” their ruling spirit.
We hear it referred to as, "The Battle of Good and Evil" which is true, but Jesus said the Power of God is in His Name. His Name is the representation of all which is Good in the entire universe, but if we don’t speak His Name, we have no power. Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your Name.” (Luke 10:17)
The enemy is subject to us ONLY when we face him in the Name of Jesus Christ. Americans across our land are rising up and fighting the enemy, but they are not fighting in the Name of Jesus and that’s why we are barely holding our ground.
This country was founded on, and our entire government formed by, the principles of God’s Holy Word which is the Story of the Person and Spirit of Jesus Christ. That my friends, is a fact!
The Spirit of Christ was in the hearts of our Founding Fathers and the colonists who settled America. It was due to the Spirit of Christ within them that they won the Revolutionary War that guaranteed us the freedom we have known in America ever since. It was NOT brave strong men who marched into battle. It was the SPIRIT OF CHRIST within them that was the source of their VICTORY! The Spirit of Christ is Victory! There is no Victory without Him.
The Spirit of Christ can and will……..turn the tide
