2 Chronicles 20:17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.
As I was bringing the Morning Message yesterday to a close, something jumped off the page at me as I typed the focal Passage of Scripture once again. The focal Scripture yesterday was Deuteronomy 20:1. The first phrase of the Passage is what I am referring to. It reads, When you go out to battle against your enemies,
More specifically, the words “go out” spoke a mighty message to me. The Promise of God is that of His Divine Protection, but it comes with a condition. He promises to protect us, but we have to “go out” in faith. It’s up to us to take that all-important step in faith, trust God, and “go out!”
We see the same Promise with the same condition in 2 Chronicles 20:17, Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.
God will protect us IF we GO OUT! The Word of God does NOT tell us the Lord will protect us when we go and hide in fear. Much of the Body of Christ today is scared of the enemy we are facing. The Church has been hiding in the back row pew for a long time. Preachers are afraid to take a stand in their own pulpits. Sunday School teachers are dancing around the Truth of the Word of God and bringing a politically correct lesson instead of a Biblically correct one. This is a travesty!
The Lord God Almighty promises to be with us if we will trust in Him. His Word tells us to Position yourselves, stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! We are to position ourselves and stand still. This means to take a firm position based on faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and stand on it; never wavering! The great Apostle Paul tells us, Therefore take up the whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Over and over again, throughout both the Old and New Testaments, the Lord tells His people to STAND. It’s time to obey the Word of God. It’s time to stand up, go out, face the enemy in faith and stand firm on the Word of God, knowing, believing and trusting He is with us.
We are ALL soldiers of the Cross; the Army of God. It is not up to someone else to do your job. God is calling YOU to stand. He is calling YOU to go out. He is calling YOU to trust Him. We must STOP looking to others and do something ourselves.
If every Christian in the Free World would read and obey the Word of God, stand firm in their faith, and GO OUT and face the enemy, the world would not be in the condition it is today.
Christians, it’s time to STAND and GO OUT!
God is waiting for His people to stand. When they do, He will…………turn the tide
On my feet! Doreen
