Joel 2:17 Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
This Passage of Scripture paints a powerful picture. The “ministers of the Lord” could have been translated as “servants of the Lord.” With this in mind, the Lord is speaking to all of His people, not just the priests and who we know to be ministers. We are all ministers of the Gospel of Christ. We have all been commissioned to go out and preach the Word of the Lord.
To “weep between the porch and the altar” is a picture of the Body of Christ weeping for the Church. We need to be weeping for the Church because it is weak. Believers need to be on their faces before God pleading for the Church to be strong in their faith and turn back to God.
I absolutely believe God will spare His people from wrath when we live our lives in obedience to Him and His Commandments. The enemy is at work to tear down the Word of God and His Statutes. It is time for the Church to stand up for the Lord and not surrender our heritage to the heathen, allowing them to rule over us.
This is what the Church has done and we are now reaping the consequences of our actions. There are groups forming all across our great nation to take America back for God. Get involved! It’s our responsibility to do what we can. We can all do something and we need to do it.
Read the Word of God and support those who stand on the principles you find there. America is so far out of line with the Word of God, that it’s incomprehensible. The ship is sinking and it’s time to right the ship. We are all passengers on board. To right the ship we must move to the other side. It takes action. We just can’t sit in the same place and expect it to happen on it’s own.
God is waiting for His people to get up and move. You and I are included in that group. We have to move. I know it’s comfortable where we are, but it won’t be very shortly if we don’t take action now. If you care about this nation and the future of your children and grandchildren……..MOVE! Get on the other side of the ship!
If you don’t stand, who will stand for you? It’s time! We MUST stand. Our forefathers had the courage to stand. That’s why we have the right to stand today. If we don’t stand now, we will be very sorry one day when we WILL stand before God and have to answer to Him why we didn’t stand. So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. (Romans 14:12) At that point there will be no time for excuses. We serve a just God who is no respecter of persons. We all long to hear the words: “Well done good and faithful servant.” We will never hear those words if we don’t stand and live in obedience to Him.
Only God can……..turn the tide
