Stand In Unity

Mark 3:23-26  So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end.

This is a lesson the Body of Christ needs to hear and understand. It is the lesson of the importance of unity. In the 17th Chapter of John, Jesus prayed for the Church to be unified. That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in You, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent Me.

The great Apostle Paul wrote to the people of Corinth and said in 1 Corinthians 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers, by the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.

Please take note that Paul began this sentence with the words, I appeal to you, brothers by the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ….. This was an appeal. Paul was pleading with them to be unified; that there be no divisions among them. His plea was for them to be united in the same mind and the same judgment.

Oh, how I long for the Body of Christ to come together in unity at this time in history. I pray for this every day, and here at Betts Ministries, we welcome Christians of all denominations to come together in unity with the same mind: the Mind of Christ.

Jesus made it very clear that a divided house or kingdom CANNOT stand. All believers of Christ and His Work on the Cross are Christians. We are ONE Body. We are ONE Church. We are ALL part of the ONE Kingdom of God. We are in this TOGETHER! We cannot continue to bicker amongst ourselves and fight over trivial matters, and stand together in the face of the enemy.

Again, Jesus prayed: That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in You, that they also may be in us, Jesus prayed this with a goal in mind. When the entire Body of Christ comes together and stands as one united Army of Christ, His goal will be met. His goal is this: so that the world may believe that you have sent Me.

The world does not believe Jesus is the Son of God, sent by God to redeem them from sin that they may have everlasting life. Many believe Jesus walked the earth. Some believe He was a Prophet of God. Others call Him a great teacher. They believe He performed great miracles, but they do not believe He was born of a virgin, died on the Cross for the sins of the entire world, was buried, and rose again on the third day. This is what Christians believe. Every true, born-again Christian believes this. We ALL believe this. This is the Gospel of Christ.

This is what God wants the world to know and if Christians would stop fighting amongst themselves and come together in unity of the Truth of the Gospel of Christ, the world may begin to listen.

Jesus commissioned us to Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. He DID NOT SAY, go out into all the world and preach the beliefs of a certain denomination. He said, PREACH THE GOSPEL!

My friends, the REAL enemy is in our camp.  Our enemy is anyone representing the spirit of antichrist. Your fellow Christian who attends a church down the street from yours is NOT YOUR ENEMY. He may not worship like you do. He may not sing the same songs that you sing, or agree with you on everything, but IF he believes in the Gospel of Christ, he is your brother in Christ. Treat him that way!

Paul pleaded with the Corinthians in the year 59 AD. Today, I plead with you, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, come together as ONE Body of Christ and stand TOGETHER on the Common Ground of the Gospel of Christ.

When the Church is unified, God will……..turn the tide
