Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the Liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
To understand the Believer's Benefit of Redemption is to know the Freedom and Liberty that accompany life as a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a mindset and requires the renewing of the mind. The Apostle Paul spoke of this in Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that Good and Acceptable and Perfect Will of God.
The Perfect Will of God is for us to not be conformed to this world but to live each day with a renewed mind, a different way of thinking; in total control of our thoughts and aware of the enemy and his evil schemes. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
When Satan gets a grip on our mind and takes control of our thoughts, we move out of the Perfect Will of God and become entangled again with a yoke of bondage. This is when we find ourselves replaying the scenario that has us upset, over and over again in our mind, and with every replay, it gets worse. This, my friends, is the work of the enemy to rob us of our joy and peace and move us from a life of Freedom in Jesus to being entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
When Satan plants these thoughts in our minds, he is baiting us. When we take the bait, we are hooked, and he has once again taken control of our minds. At that moment, we immediately lose our joy and peace and become entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
It’s a trap, my friends. Satan is constantly setting traps for us. Don’t take the bait! Beware of his evil schemes to rob you of your joy and peace. Keep your eyes on the Prize of Jesus Christ. Stand fast therefore in the Liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Jesus’ brother, James, put it like this, Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) To resist the devil is to not take the bait and fall for his evil schemes. We cannot do this unless we are fully submitted to God. Then and only then, will we have the spiritual eyes to discern the enemy and the strength to, Stand fast therefore in the Liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Liberty in Christ is the only way to...............turn the tide
