Daniel 6:26-27 For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
The story of Daniel in the Lion's Den is one often taught in Sunday School classes, but we are seeing parallel events happening today in America.
King Darius did not believe in the One True God. The presidents and princes of the kingdom were jealous of Daniel, so they plotted against him. They convinced King Darius to sign a decree that they knew would end with Daniel being sent to die by being ripped to shreds by the lions.
The decree forbade the worship of anyone but the King. The presidents and princes knew Daniel worshipped and prayed to God Almighty. They hated him and used his faith to have him killed. The law of the land was set in place knowing that Daniel would break the law and be sentenced to death in the lion's den.
As we draw the comparison, we find that in the recent past, laws have been written and put in place in America that will bring persecution on Christians. The politicians are plotting against those of us who believe in the Power of the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. These people have so much power over the general population; they are writing laws that are robbing us of our God given, Constitutional rights.
Daniel stood strong against it all. His love and devotion for God far surpassed any law written by man and signed by an earthly king. No matter what, he would worship the One True God, knowing and believing his faith would see him through.
How strong are Christians today? How many actually understand what is happening? Do you understand that we are about to be thrown to the lions? Our Founding Fathers understood the story of Daniel and wrote our Founding Documents, ensuring our rights, but we have people in high positions who have set aside our Constitution and Bill of Rights and seek to override everything our Founding Fathers put in place. This is a plot to overthrow Christianity in America.
God sent His Angel to shut the mouths of the lions and save Daniel because he had the faith to stand against the enemy. God still sends Angels. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is God, and He changes not!
Daniel stood, and so must we. Every born-again Christian in America needs to be on their feet, standing in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. God loved us enough to send His Son and give us His Holy Spirit. He loves us enough to send His Angels to protect us. It is a question of faith. Do you have the faith to believe in the Power of God to rescue you from the mouths of the lions?
Because of Daniel's faith, King Darius became a believer. In the end, King Darius made the following proclamation: For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His Kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In Heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
Oh, to hear these words from our legislators, Supreme Court Justices, Governors, and others in high offices across our land. Daniel stood in faith. We must do the same! God is the same today! He still changes the hearts of men.
Faith in God Almighty will…....…..turn the tide
