1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
No matter how difficult the task before us seems, we are to be steadfast, immovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord.
The ability to do this comes deep from within the spirit and soul of the Believer and is planted there by the Holy Spirit of God through our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Work on the Cross.
The Cross of Christ is the source of EVERY SINGLE Benefit in our all-inclusive Benefit Package. Many Christians do not fully understand what Jesus accomplished for them on the Cross two thousand years ago. They understand their sins are forgiven, but they do not understand all the other Benefits that are theirs as well.
When we accept a job, there are benefits that come with it. In addition to the financial compensation, there may be health insurance, sick leave, vacation time, stock options, retirement, and other benefits that the owner of the company decides he wants his employees to have. Sometimes the benefits are worth more than the financial compensation.
Once we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord, all the Benefits are ours for the taking. Not accepting the Benefits would be like refusing your paycheck at work. The Boss wants you to have it, or He wouldn’t have died on the Cross to make it possible for you.
Jesus made it possible for all believers to live and walk in Victory over sin, death, and the devil, and yet so many Christians live defeated lives suffering the effects of pain and discouragement due to their inability to remain steadfast and immovable and abound in the work of the Lord.
When Jesus said, I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly, He was including ALL the Benefits in the all-inclusive Benefit Package for every believer.
A very important Benefit is the Strength to stand steadfast and be immovable. This Strength comes only from placing our faith TOTALLY in the Cross of Christ. Jesus willingly went to the Cross so you can stand steadfast and strong.
We are weakened by the attack of the enemy. Jesus defeated him on the Cross for YOU! Accept the Benefit of Strength to be steadfast and immovable. Jesus died so you can have it, but you have to receive it and embrace it as your own.
Embracing the Benefit of Strength will..........turn the tide ...........in your life.
Strengthened, Doreen
