Submit To The Father

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

The Disciples were with Jesus for 3 1/2 years. They actually lived with Him. They listened to Him teach and personally watched Him minister to people. They witnessed hundreds of Miracles, Signs, and Wonders He performed. All these things were done to prove He was the Son of the Living God.

Jesus knew He would be going away and they would not be able to depend on Him any longer. He also knew that the Holy Spirit was coming to live within them and He would become their Teacher and Helper. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:26) In this Scripture, Jesus tells us the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives. He is here to HELP us in every aspect.

While Jesus walked this earth, His followers believed that He could do anything, because He could! The Holy Spirit is the same. He too, is God. There is nothing He cannot do. Having Him living inside us is the same as living with Jesus as the Disciples did. He is with us to Teach, Guide, Counsel, and Help in every way possible.

The people listened to Jesus and believed His Teaching. They watched Him heal the sick and cast out demons. Most of you reading this believe He did those things too but do you believe the Holy Spirit living inside you brings that same Power?

Every Miracle Jesus performed, He did by the Power of the Holy Spirit. He operated as a man filled with the Holy Spirit, in full submission to His Father. While He never ceased to be God, He never used His Deity to do anything while He lived as a man on earth. Jesus was 100% God and 100% man at the same time.

Those people who did not believe Jesus was the Son of God did their best to trick Him into making a mistake but they could not do it. He was The Perfect Man. He was not prone to sin because He was not born with the sin nature like all other people. He had all the feelings and emotions of a man but He did not have the sin nature which would cause Him to sin. Therefore, He never sinned one single time in His life. He never even had a sinful thought in His mind. He had the Mind of God in a human body. Again, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man at the same time.

While we can never attain this status, we do have the Holy Spirit of God dwelling within us and we can submit our lives to our Heavenly Father as Jesus did. While we will never reach perfection, God will use us in great ways when we submit to the Calling He has for us. He has a Plan for each of us just as He had a Plan for the Man, Christ Jesus. Jesus submitted to His Father’s Plan. That’s all God is asking of us. Believe in His Son and submit to His Plan.

When you do, He will……….turn the tide……….in your life.
