Matthew 4:25 And there followed Him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

 

Every Pastor wants a big church filled with wonderful people who love the Lord with all their hearts and want to see lost souls come to Salvation.

 

Jesus set the pattern for the Church. We read about it in the 4th Chapter of Matthew in Verses 23 and 24. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. 

 

In these two verses we find what God intends for His people when they gather together.  As we compare what happened then to what goes on in a church service today, it is far different. Somewhere along the line, the Church has wavered from the Pattern Christ set in place for us.

 

The Bible tells us that Jesus went about, TEACHING, PREACHING, HEALING and DELIVERING the people. That’s all that happened! He didn’t do anything but Teach, Preach, Heal and Deliver. Is that what’s happening in the church you attend each week? Probably not.

 

Some people believe it’s not happening like this today because Jesus is not here in person. That's true; He is not, but He said, And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— (John 14:16)

 

The Helper, sent to us by the Father in Heaven, is the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is present in our church services, it is EXACTLY like having Jesus there in person! That means, when the Holy Spirit is in the house, we will have TEACHING, PREACHING, HEALING, and DELIVERANCE! Wouldn’t that be wonderful!

 

If this is the way Jesus ministered to the people, I believe it is the way we should minister now. After all, Jesus is our model. As Christians, we are supposed to be Christ-like. If the church leaders today followed the Pattern set forth by Jesus, their churches would be overflowing with people. The Power of God is the same today as it was then.

 

As Jesus went about Teaching, Preaching, Healing and Delivering people, the Bible says, And there followed Him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

 

People need God. Millions are lost, dying, and headed for eternity in Hell. Believers are sick and afflicted with disease. The enemy has them bound in every form of darkness imaginable. We have the answer and the remedy for every bit of it! All we have to do is follow the Pattern set for us by Jesus: Teach, Preach, Heal and Deliver in the Name of Jesus Christ!

 

The Pattern set by Jesus will……..turn the tide ……….in the Kingdom of God
