Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the Angels of Heaven, but My Father only."
In the fullness of time, when God had properly prepared the world, Jesus was born. Yesterday, we discussed what the world looked like at that time. The Birth of Jesus, His Ministry on Earth, Crucifixion, and Resurrection all happened in a short 33 1/2 year period of time. Jesus impacted the world unlike any other person in just 33 years.
Jesus will impact the world again when He returns for His Bride, the Church. We know this event as The Rapture of the Church. We read about it in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the Voice of an Archangel, and with the Trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
This is the Day we now await. God is preparing the world today for the return of Jesus. When we compare the condition of the world today with how it looked just prior to Jesus' birth, the similarities are phenomenal. Politically, economically, morally, and religiously, the world looks very much the same as it did just before Christ was born.
The time was perfect. All preparation had been completed. The fullness of time had come. Are we there again? Is the Lord about to return for His Bride? No one knows for sure, but this we do know: The Lord Jesus Christ IS coming back. For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the Voice of an Archangel, and with the Trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
While we are all busy preparing for Christmas, God is preparing the world for His Son's return. I pray you are ready.
