The Helper

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

The Benefit of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer is so beneficial that I hardly know where to begin. Let us start with what Jesus said. First, He called Him the Helper, and then Jesus said, He will teach you all things.

Among many other things, the Holy Spirit is our Helper and Teacher. Without the Holy Spirit, the believer is not able to learn much about God and His Kingdom. Although we may sit under some powerful and anointed Preachers and Teachers, it is the Holy Spirit that opens our minds to hear, receive, learn, and put it all into practice in our daily lives. Without a doubt, the greatest source of knowledge and wisdom is the Holy Word of God, and the Holy Spirit within us will open our hearts to receive more and more each day.

For whatever reason, some denominations have discredited and rejected the Holy Spirit, either partially or entirely. This is a big mistake! The Holy Spirit is the Power Source of God. But you shall receive POWER when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; (Acts 1:8)

Without the Holy Spirit, the believer has no help, knowledge, wisdom, gifting, or power. All the Benefits of God are afforded us by and through the Benefit of the Holy Spirit. There is no other source.

In some professions, continuing education is required. The professional is mandated to take a certain number of hours of classes each year to retain their license or status in their profession. Sometimes their employer will offer the benefit of paying for these classes, which is worth a lot to the employee. If not, the employee is responsible for their own continuing education.

When our primary "profession" becomes being a Christian, our continuing education is ongoing and absolutely free. Our Heavenly Father has seen to that. All we have to do is seek the Teacher (the Holy Spirit) and be open to learning. We are on our own to "show up to class" and spend time in the Word with our Teacher.

If you want to learn more about God and His Kingdom, simply accept this Benefit and seek the Teaching of the Holy Spirit. He stands ready to instruct you in your ongoing, continuing education. His Classroom is always open, and there is always more to learn. The Teacher is in. Where are you?

Accepting the Benefit of the Holy Spirit will..........turn the tide ...........in your life.

With the Teacher,       Doreen
