Genesis 1:14-15 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the Earth: and it was so.
The Word of God clearly states that He created the sun and the moon to not only provide light upon the Earth but to be for signs. This is NOT to imply we are to study the stars and planets to predict anything (astrology), but we are to be aware of rare occurrences such as what will happen next Wednesday, August 12th.
On this day, there will be a solar eclipse. While it is still daytime, the Earth will go completely dark in certain places in the world. Is this a sign from God worth paying attention to?
We all know that Jesus is Light and is known as the Light of the World. America has been the Light unto the world as we have taken the Gospel of Christ (the Light) to the entire world. However, in recent years we have allowed the darkness of Satan to rob America of the Light.
We have sat back and watched as the Word of God and Prayer have been banned from our schools. We have paid no attention to our government leaders as they have banned Jesus Christ from our culture. America was built on Christ and Christian principles. This is what made America great in the first place, but over the past eighty years, things have changed in America. The Light in America has become dim, and we have allowed it to happen.
Next Wednesday, the Light of the sun will become dark across America. Is this some sort of a sign from God to America? The Word tells us He put the Sun and Moon in the sky to be signs. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs,
Personally, I don’t believe in coincidence. God doesn’t do anything by chance. Everything happens for a reason. It will be interesting to watch as God causes darkness to fall all across our land. This land that has stood for, and reflected the Light of the World for so many years.
Perhaps God is about to…….turn the tide
