John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Today is Valentine's Day. It is the day we remember our loved ones in an extra special way. We purchase flowers, candy, and special gifts as a token of our love for this special person in our lives.
Regardless of how much we love another human being, that love can never compare with the love God has for us. He loves us so much He gave His Only Begotten Son to be Crucified on the Cross on our behalf. Perfect in every way, Jesus, the Son of God, became the Sacrifice for the sins of the entire world, including all of your sin and my sin.
We are all sinners. We have all fallen short. No person is, ever has been, or will ever be, perfect. There was but one Perfect Man to ever walk the face of the earth. That Man was Jesus Christ, the Word of God, made flesh.
With true love comes benefits. God’s Love for us, demonstrated by Jesus being Crucified on the Cross, brings an untold number of benefits our way. The problem is, most people (even saved people) don’t understand the benefits available to them.
Christ gave His Life on Calvary so we may have eternal life in Heaven and enjoy health, wealth, joy, freedom, and peace in every aspect of our lives here on earth. He paid the Price so we can reap the Benefits. And yet, so many people believe in God but reject the many Benefits available to them due to what Jesus did on the Cross.
As much as you love your spouse and family, that love can never compare to the Love God has for you. It is impossible to list all the Benefits of His Perfect Love for us. Jesus gave His Life so you can have anything and everything you could ever dream of having in this life and throughout eternity.
We will never be able to fully understand the depth of God’s Love for us. On this special day, as you remember your special someone, please know that God loves you more than you could ever love anyone; not just on one day of the year but every moment of every day His Love endures for you.
King David wrote: Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His Holy Name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with Loving Kindness and Tender Mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with Good Things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
The Love of God will........turn the tide
