The Remedy

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.

Human beings are created in God’s Own Image. We are a three-part being made in the likeness of a three-part God. He created us spirit, soul, and body. The part of us that is our soul is our mind, will, and emotions. It’s what causes us to think bout us. It’s our “I want, I can, I will, I won’t, I, I, I,” followed by “look at me, it’s all about me, me, me, me.”

Another part of our soul is our freewill which enables us to make choices. God wants us to always choose Him first above everything else. Unfortunately, when the I, I, I, and the me, me, me take over, we will more than likely not choose God.

As we discussed yesterday, when Jesus breathed the breath of life into man, he was a perfect creation. This continued until man chose rebellion and turned from God in disobedience. In his soul, he made the wrong decision at that time. He chose to rebel against God. He chose to disobey. God has a word for this and it is sin. Anytime we turn from God and disobey we are sinning. All sin is against God.

The Bible reveals the root of all human problems, which is sin. Sin is our problem and we choose to sin rather than obey. All rebellion is sin against God because God has set in place His Divine Order for everything in this world. When we go against this Order, we are rebelling against God. This is sin.

Sin is the problem but thank God He has also given us the remedy. The remedy is the Blood of Jesus that was shed on the Cross of Calvary to set us free from the law of sin and death. For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2)

It is God’s Will for every human being on earth to be Saved, live an abundant life here on earth and spend eternity in Heaven with Him. This is God’s Will for all of us. Unfortunately, Satan has other plans, and he interferes with what God has planned. Jesus said, The thief comes but to kill, steal, and destroy, but I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

Everyone is a sinner. All sin is against God but God sent His Remedy in the form of His Son, Jesus, Who died on the Cross of Calvary so we don’t have to pay the penalty of death for our sins. In actuality, we can’t pay the price for sin on our own. We don’t have the ability to do that. We don’t have any way to do it. We can’t work for it and all the money in the world can’t buy God’s Forgiveness and Redemption. We don’t have to do it! Jesus already did it and all we have to do is believe it! Hallelujah! What a Mighty God we serve! He loves us so much to do this for us!

Place your faith in what Jesus did on the Cross and watch God……..….turn the tide!

Thank you Jesus!         Doreen
