Acts 3:12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look you so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we have made this man to walk? 

 

When the people saw that the lame man had been healed, they were totally amazed, and their amazement opened the door for Peter to preach a sermon. None of this took place inside the Temple. It all happened outside on the porch. 

 

It’s probable that the Priests would not have allowed this to happen inside. It would have disturbed their time schedule and disrupted their religious routine. 

 

Perhaps this is why we don’t see Miracles in Church today. The Church's time schedule does not allow for a Miracle to happen. The people wouldn’t be able to leave by 12:00 noon. They might miss their weekly lunch with their friends. Their regular table at the local restaurant could be taken by some folks from that other church down the road. 

 

My friends, God does not work on our time schedule. He wants to perform Miracles in our lives and show us great Signs and Wonders, but He also wants us to set aside our usual time schedule of ritual and routine and just welcome His Presence to move and operate among us as He sees fit. 

 

When the Holy Spirit is welcome and given leeway to operate, He will do so. God may not minister through the Preacher, Teacher, or Evangelist. God will use whomever He chooses. When we humble ourselves, seek God with all our hearts, and become sensitive to the Presence of the Holy Spirit, we will see Miracles happen in our midst. 

 

If you want to see God move, you must disregard your time schedule, forget the normal ritualistic routines, and allow the Holy Spirit free rein to operate.  

 

Only the Holy Spirit can........turn the tide.......in your life.
