Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’
The Call of the Lord has always been to Turn, turn from your evil ways! This is the Call of the Message of the Cross to all people. The first time we responded in belief to this Call on our lives, we were saved and entered the Pasture of Plenty through the Gate named Jesus Christ.
Once inside the Pasture, we vowed to always be faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ and live our lives for Him every day. Unfortunately, Satan has other plans for us and lures us to the fence and his evil world that lies beyond. At times, we succumb to temptation and venture out into the cold, cruel world of darkness and sin.
The Holy Spirit of God will speak to our spirit and attempt to draw us back to the Cross, but so many times the believer is not listening for the Voice of the Holy Spirit, and the attraction outside the fence becomes far greater than what is inside the Pasture.
The Word of the Lord has always been “Turn!” Every time we are headed for the fence, the Holy Spirit speak and says, “Turn!” Let us pray to hear the Voice of the Lord and respond favorably to His Command.
The Holy Spirit is our Guide through life. Jesus said, However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all Truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. (John 16:13)
The Holy Spirit will NEVER lead us to the fence or through the fence into the world. He will always guide us straight back to the Cross of Christ, deep inside the Pasture of Plenty, where we find all the Benefits of God. Hallelujah!
Listen for the Voice of the Lord. When you hear Him say, “Turn!” obey His Voice and allow Him to guide your steps straight back to the Cross of Christ.
The Lord wants to..........turn the tide.........in your life.
Listening carefully, Doreen
