1 Chronicles 12:33 Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.

Here we see a most important quality of a good army; they were not only experts in war, with all instruments, they could keep rank: they were not of double heart.

These men had been trained for battle. They were not just common foot soldiers, they were expert marksmen. They could be compared to the best snipers, Green Berets, or Navy Seals today. They were the best of the best, and they were 50,000 strong!

And that’s not all; they could keep rank: they were not of double heart. To keep rank is to march in step perfectly with each other. To not be of double heart is to be in one accord, all fighting for the same purpose, which was to defeat the enemy and make David king of all of Israel.

How many Christians today would march and fight side by side with a believer of another denomination? How many would join their heart with the hearts of believers who don’t look like they do or worship exactly the way they do? They all consider themselves to be experts, but could they march side by side, in step with each other, and keep rank? I’m sorry to say, it’s highly doubtful in the Church today.

Oh my! What an army the Body of Christ could be if we had enough ambition and fortitude to become experts about the war we face. Just imagine an army of well-trained Christians that could keep rank and all be in one accord, fighting the enemy for the same purpose; to make Jesus KING! ! !

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. (Acts 2:1) It is imperative that the Church come together in one accord with one heart for one purpose: to lift up the Name of Jesus Christ and make Him King! We must not lift up any other name, god, or denomination. This would be breaking the First Commandment. Thou shall have no other gods before Me. Jesus said it like this: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

To love anything or anyone more than Jesus Christ is not acceptable to God. To lift up Jesus, we must put all else aside. To be in one accord we must love each other as our brothers and sisters in Christ. This is to build the Army of God, keep rank, and be not of double heart, but in one accord.

Only God can do this. Only God can……...turn the tide

Praying for the Army of Christ!      Doreen
