Mark 9:24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
Unbelief is a sin. What is unbelief? Unbelief is the conscious decision not to believe in God. The Word of God is our instruction book on how to believe in God. All God wants us to do is trust Him in every situation. His Word says that He is able to do all things, so why don’t we believe that?
Hebrews 3:12 says Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief. Here we find that unbelief comes from an evil heart. This dates all the way back to the days of the Israelites. While they were being delivered out of Egypt, God performed Miracle after Miracle and they still failed to believe. The result of their unbelief was that God denied them entrance into the Promised Land. They never received all that God had for them because of their unbelief.
God does not tolerate unbelief. It is a sin and Jesus nailed all unbelief to the Cross of Calvary. If we believe that Jesus went to the Cross for all the sins in the whole world, then we must believe that He nailed the sin of unbelief to the Cross.
How many times has God proven Himself faithful to us? How many Miracles has He performed in your life? We don’t even know all that God has done for us and yet we still do not believe Him in certain circumstances.
My friends, God is able to do all things. But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) Jesus spoke only the Truth. When Jesus said with God all things are possible He meant it!
It doesn’t matter what the situation is. God already knows what He is going to do about it. He is already at work on your behalf. Stop worrying about it and Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)
God is there for you. He loves you. He is working on your behalf all the time. All He asks is for you to trust Him. Will you trust Him today? Will you lay down that burden today and trust Him to handle the situation? He can do what you cannot do. If you believe that, then let Him do it. He is able!
Trust Him and He will……….turn the tide……..in your life.
Trusting God in everything. Doreen
