2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
God’s Plan for us is to cast off everything old and make everything new! This is all part of the all-inclusive Benefit Package for the born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and it’s very exciting!
You may remember that on January 30, 2017, our House of Praise caught on fire and burned. We immediately began tearing down the old, burned-out parts and rebuilding the new plan the Lord has given us. Demolition is never easy.
We are all just like a burned and battered house. The Apostle Paul referred to our body as a tent, a dwelling place for our soul and spirit. Like the House of Praise, we were each created with a specific purpose, but Satan has tried to destroy us. Parts of us are no longer of any good and need to be cut off and thrown away.
Over the next few days, I will describe the process of demolishing the old and building the new, and draw the comparison between the burned-out House of Praise and each of us.
The original House of Praise appeared beautiful. It was created for a specific purpose and used for that purpose. All who entered there felt the strong Presence of God and were blessed!
When the devil attacked the House of Praise with fire, it began to fall and crumble to the ground, making it of no use to the ministry at all. In fact, it was a very dangerous place to be. Only the strong and well-equipped could maneuver around inside without getting hurt.
Although we are each Created, Gifted, and Anointed by God to serve Him in a unique way and build the Kingdom of God, when the devil attacks us, if the fire is not put out quickly, he can cause us to be of no use whatsoever. Like the burned-out House of Praise, what once was used by God in a powerful way can become of no use and very dangerous to the Church until we are repaired.
The Holy Spirit of God is in the repair business. He is the Expert at demolition and rebuilding if we submit our “tent” into His very capable Hands.
Submitting your “tent” to the Holy Spirit will...........turn the tide ..........in your life.
