Galatians 1:3-4 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father.
The “present evil world” Paul speaks of here is the world of sin that dominates people, has dominion over them, and controls their actions. This is the place where all spiritually lost people live. Unfortunately, many born-again Christians continue to live in this present evil world because they do not know what is afforded them through placing their faith in Jesus and His Sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary.
This Promise of God is one that will absolutely change the entire world if people would hear and understand it in full. Christ gave His Life on the Cross for far more than our guarantee of an Eternal Home in Heaven. So many Preachers and Teachers only preach the Gospel for Salvation and Eternity and never take it any further.
While Salvation is the first, and all-important step in someone’s Christian Walk, it is only the FIRST step. There is so much more! Yes, once Saved, our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life, and our Eternal Home awaits us. That is exciting! Yes, our Lord is coming back for us at the Rapture of the Church, and what a day that will be!
But what about now? Here on this earth? What do we have available to us in this life? Jesus died for us to be Saved, Healed, and Delivered from any and all bondage. Any sin that dominates a person is the attack of the enemy and is bondage. Anything that controls our thoughts and lives, that is not of God, is bondage. Freedom from all this awaits you.
