Undying Hope

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My Righteous Right Hand.

On the first day of demolition on the burned-out House of Praise, the job appeared to be overwhelming. It was obvious that the entire roof and attic had to be removed. In parts of the house, the roof had already fallen to the floor. In some places, it was barely held up by a wall or cabinet, causing an extremely dangerous working environment. There were other parts of the roof structure that appeared totally intact from the room below, but when we broke through the ceiling we found a lot of damage “upstairs.”

And so it is with many people who seek spiritual help due to the attack of the enemy. These people wander into churches in desperate need of help. Many Christians deem these people to be a total loss, beyond help. Their outward appearance and behavior are incredibly outrageous, but no person is beyond repair. No job is too great for the Holy Spirit of God, who is the General Contractor on the job.

Our job, as the Body of Christ, is to minister to these people through the Spiritual Gifts we have been blessed with. While always seeking the Guidance, Teaching, and Leading of the General Contractor (the Holy Spirit) He will help to carefully chip and cut away the damage, little by little. We must be extremely cautious because if we cut too deeply, the entire top can cave in.

Cutting away a burned-out roof structure is a dirty, nasty job. The black soot and ash are everywhere, and it seems that the more you cut away, the more there is. Pieces of half-burned wood and roof shingles constantly fall, but with every piece that falls and is thrown in the dumpster, there is hope!  And so we press on!  Rejoice in Hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. (Romans 12:12)

The Believer’s Benefit of Hope is one that sees us through the worst of times and allows us to see God’s Plan for the lost soul that He places in our path. We are not to be afraid in any circumstance. Our Hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ. He died that we may have Hope.

Therefore, Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My Righteous Right Hand.

You Hope in Him will...........turn the tide….......in your life.

 More hopeful every day!    Doreen
