Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.

 

Disciples of Christ are called by many names. These names include Christians, Followers, Disciples, and Believers. Some people would rather be referred to by the name of the denomination they are affiliated with, such as Pentecostal, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, etc.  Whatever you choose to be called, the important thing is that we are all Believers in Jesus Christ and His Work on the Cross at Calvary.

 

If you don’t believe in Christ and the Cross, you have no basis to be associated with the Body of Christ. It is the Will of God that every person become a Believer in Jesus Christ, His Son. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the Truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, (1 Timothy 2:3-6)  

 

Jesus died for ALL the sins of ALL the people of ALL the world; everyone. All anyone has to do is BELIEVE that. To believe is to have faith. Our entire Christian experience is based on faith. Without faith, there is nothing of God.

 

The great Apostle Paul wrote these words: But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the Promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. (Galatians 3:22) 

 

God’s Promise is for all people, but it comes ONLY by faith in Jesus Christ and is ONLY for those who believe.  People want the Promise of God, but they don’t really believe.

 

To believe is to have complete faith in what God’s Word says. His Word is true; you can believe it; ALL of it. The entire Bible is the Story of Jesus Christ. The Old Testament is all about the Christ to come, and the New Testament is the Story of Christ and how to live as a Believer in Christ.

 

Whatever you call yourself, if you are a Believer, then you must believe! Just as a teacher must teach, a preacher must preach, a doctor must doctor, a driver must drive, a builder must build, a welder must weld, etc.  …..a Believer must believe!

 

Only Faith in Christ Jesus will make a Believer out of you. Then, you will know the Promise of God!

 

Faith in Jesus Christ will……..turn the tide
