Revelation 1:4-5 Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.
Jesus Christ is God’s One and ONLY Son. He lived a perfect life as a man. He never sinned or even had a sinful thought. He overcame death and the grave and now sits at the Right Hand Throne of God, the Father. From that position, He rules over all the earth. The Father loves the Son and given all things into His Hand. (John 3:35)
Jesus is the ruler over everything, including the kings of the earth; all the kings of the entire earth. and the ruler over the kings of the earth. He rules and reigns from on High. Jesus is the King of Kings. God Almighty has placed Him in this position, given Him this authority, and He serves perfectly, just as He did when He walked the earth as a human being.
The majority of the world’s population does not know that Jesus Christ is their ruler. They serve and honor people, but not Jesus Christ, who is in actuality, the only one deserving of their service and honor. Some serve a family member,r such as their parent or spouse. Others serve their superior or boss at work. Students serve their teachers at school. Citizens serve the President or leader of their country. We all serve and sit under the authority of other people, but what few realize and truly understand is that we all (everyone) sit under the authority of Jesus Christ, who has been given the authority, by God Almighty, the Creator of the universe, to rule and reign over all. The Father loves the Son and given all things into His Hand.
Many believers know who Jesus is and what He did on the Cross, but they serve something or someone else. This has always been the case. They feared the Lord, yet served their own gods—according to the rituals of the nations from among whom they were carried away. (Kings 17:33) Not much has changed.
Every individual must choose whom they will serve. Joshua put it like this, And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)
To serve the Lord is not easy. We have to take a hard stand against the world. At times, God requires us to leave family and friends behind and follow Him. This is how Jesus called His Disciples and He is still calling people in the exact same way today. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)
Jesus continues to call people to follow Him and serve Him whole-heartedly. Whatever it takes, that’s the call on our lives. To serve Jesus, one must turn from the world and everything in it. Satan is the Prince of the World, and we cannot serve the world and all its evil and Jesus at the same time.
Every believer must decide whom they will serve. People will tell you it's foolish, but who do you believe? The Word of God or people? God gives every person the free will to CHOOSE whom they will serve. He does not force Himself on anyone. He wants everyone to come into the fold. At times, He makes it very hard on us, hoping we will surrender. Other times, He reveals Himself to us in such a magnificent, miraculous way that we cannot deny His existence. It is the Will of God that all be saved, but in the end, we each must make the choice of whom we will serve.
Jesus is calling. He wants to turn the tide in your life. He is the only one who can do it.
Only He can……..turn the tide
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Doreen
